The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) is tracking three motorcycle riders who were allegedly involved in a hit-and-run incident at the corner C.P. Garcia Avenue and Masinsinan Street in Barangay UP Campus, Quezon City, at 3:51 a.m. on May 16.
Initial investigation showed that the 58-year-old male driver of a BYD Seal 5 sedan was traversing the area when the motorcycle—carrying three riders and bearing no visible plate number—attempted to make a left turn from Masinsinan Street toward C.P. Garcia Avenue enroute to University Lane.
Police said the motorcycle reportedly collided with the right side of the sedan upon entering the intersection, damaging the vehicle.
After the collision, all three motorcycle riders immediately fled, prompting authorities to classify the incident as a hit-and-run.
In response, the QCPD has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to identify the suspects through backtracking and forward tracking of CCTV footage in the area.
Police have urged the individuals involved to voluntarily surrender to the nearest police station as the investigation continues.
The public is likewise encouraged to assist authorities by reporting any relevant information to local police stations or through E911 Philippines or QC Helpline 122.
