For many runners, OYM (“On Your Mark”) has never been just a race—it has been part of a routine, a benchmark for progress, and a series that shaped personal milestones.
Launched in 2016 through Affinitea Race in partnership with Mizuno Philippines, OYM quickly built a strong following in the local running community. Its signature trilogy-style race format was designed to gradually challenge runners across different distances, allowing participants to grow from their first 5K to longer, more competitive runs.
More than the finish lines and medals, OYM became known for fostering a genuine running community—bringing together beginners, recreational runners, and seasoned athletes in one shared space. It was where consistency was built, friendships were formed, and personal goals were steadily achieved.
After a pause during the pandemic years, OYM officially returns at a time when Filipinos are once again embracing fitness, wellness, and outdoor movement. Its comeback brings renewed excitement to long-time supporters and introduces a new generation of runners to the experience.
OYM Trilogy Leg 1 will take place on June 14, 2026, at Ayala Triangle Gardens, featuring 5K, 10K, and 16K race categories designed for runners ready to take on their next challenge.
With a refreshed race experience while staying true to its roots, OYM continues its mission of encouraging people to move with purpose, improve with consistency, and reconnect through running.
A message from OYM Events Corp
Amidst the different crises the Philippines is experiencing today—ranging from oil and economic concerns to government issues—there is a call to persevere and keep moving forward.
We are reminded that even in times of crisis, we can still find moments to “celebrate,” because challenges are often the very spaces where growth happens. As written in Scripture:
Romans 5:3–4
“Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”
As shared by Mark Anthony Guzman Liu, President of OYM Events Corp, “We can celebrate even in crisis because God has revealed that He uses them to produce steadfast endurance (‘perseverance’) and proven character in those who relate to their sufferings properly.”
Registration for the upcoming race is now open and ongoing.
