MC Mong apologizes to EXO's Baekhyun over gambling issue
Korean rapper MC Mong apologized to Baekhyun of EXO after mentioning his name during a TikTok livestream about gambling.
“Baekhyun is such a truly good person that I don't want to say a single word about him. I am still so sorry to Baekhyun, and I love him so, so much. There is no one like him,” MC Mong said during a TikTok broadcast on May 19.
In a previous livestream on May 18, the 46-year-old singer made several claims and mentioned personalities in the entertainment industry in connection with his dispute with Cha Ga-won, CEO of entertainment agency One Hundred.
He also said the person frequently told Baekhyun, “A man should know how to gamble,” and “Let’s go to Las Vegas.”
Under Korean law, gambling by Korean nationals is generally prohibited both domestically and overseas, with only limited exceptions allowed by the government.
Baekhyun is under contract with NB100 for his solo activities. He was the founder of the company, which later became a subsidiary of One Hundred in 2024.
In March, Baekhyun and fellow Xiumin notified One Hundred of their intention to terminate their contracts, citing various issues, including payment concerns.
