Dingdong Dantes on 'power couple' blind item: 'Confident kami na hindi kami 'yun'

Kapuso actor Dingdong Dantes finally addressed rumors about him and his wife, Marian Rivera, supposedly being the infamous “power couple” whose marriage is allegedly on the rocks, as mentioned in a blind item.

During his interview with Jessica Soho last Sunday, Dingdong was asked about the rumor after some netizens speculated that it referred to him and Marian.

“Parang every year meron ho talagang mga gano’ng nakukuha. Una, sanay naman po. Pangalawa, e, confident naman po kami na hindi kami ‘yun. Basta ako, malinis tayo diyan,” Dingdong said.

Earlier this year, rumors about Marian and Dingdong supposedly having marital problems also surfaced.

The Kapuso actor laughed off the rumors, going on to open up on how he and Marian keep their relationship strong.
"I think, malaking bagay po na nagkakilala kami at the time when halos natapos na ‘yung mga kailangan naming gawin as single people. Pero higit sa lahat, malaking bagay that nung umpisa pa lang, pareho ang gusto namin—and that is to just simply build the family. Everything revolves around there,” he said.
Dingdong and Marian celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary in December. They celebrated with their kids, Zia and Sixto, at a beach resort in El Nido, Palawan.
Dingdong also clarified talks about his alleged plan to enter politics.
"Malinaw sa’kin na ang focus ko ay nasa industriyang ito sa pagiging aktor," he said.
As to Aktor PH, a group which he leads as chairman, Dingdong explained, "It’s a collective effort of a group of actors. Nag-umpisa siya sa panahon ng pandemic noong marami pa tayong uncertainties. Mas marami tayong tanong sa sarili natin, sa kalusugan, maraming fears, pero higit sa lahat, ang conversations na ‘yun, nangibabaw ang hopes sa isang community [bilang] nagmamalasakit."
