Corazon “Zonito” Tamase, the co-founder of Naturearth Corp., has clinched the Asia Agri-Food Tech Womenpreneur Award at the 2026 Business Excellence in Lady-Led Agri-Enterprise (BELLA) Awards, marking a significant milestone for the Philippine agricultural technology sector as it expands its footprint across Southeast Asia.
The accolades, presented by the Asia Small Business Federation, were conferred on April 24 at the International Conference on Sustainable Agripreneurship held at Universitas Hindu Indonesia in Denpasar, Bali.
The regional summit convened industry leaders, policymakers, and technologists from nations including Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Timor-Leste, Thailand, Vietnam, and Bangladesh to address the intersection of automation, commercial viability, and climate-resilient farming practices.
Tamase’s selection underscores the growing commercial valuation and regional influence of female-led agribusinesses targeting the intersection of ESG (environmental, social, and governance) metrics and food security. The BELLA committee evaluated nominees across strict frameworks measuring contributions to economic prosperity, planetary sustainability, and community-level value chains. Tamase’s operations stood out for developing scalable agronomic solutions that mitigate climate volatility while securing predictable income streams for domestic smallholder farmers.
The regional trophy follows closely on the heels of Tamase being named one of the Inspiring Filipina Entrepreneurs at the Go Negosyo Women Summit 2026, a domestic benchmark that highlights rising capital efficiency and market penetration among women-led enterprises.
Alongside co-founder Jojo Tamase, Corazon Tamase has scaled Naturearth Corp. through its flagship product, M2 Veggie Drink. The proprietary formulation has established a dominant niche in the functional beverage category. It is marketed both as a mainstream nutritional supplement and as a natural galactagogue, a therapeutic product widely consumed by breastfeeding mothers to stimulate lactation. By leveraging local supply chains for raw agricultural inputs, Naturearth has successfully insulated itself from broader global logistical disruptions while boosting rural employment.
The company's expansion occurs amid a broader macroeconomic push within the Philippines to modernize its agricultural output and increase the sector's contribution to gross domestic product. Analysts note that innovations in the agri-food tech space are increasingly vital as regional supply chains face pressures from changing weather patterns and fluctuating fertilizer costs.
As the official Philippine delegate to the ASIA BELLA platform, Tamase’s recognition signals a pivot toward higher-value processing within the domestic agricultural framework. This shift moves the local economy away from raw commodity exports and toward intellectual property-driven food technology, positioning Philippine enterprises to capture a larger share of the burgeoning Southeast Asian functional food market.
