On Monday, May 18, the Senate formally convened into an impeachment court to try the case of the Vice President, after it received the Articles of Impeachment from the House of Representatives.
The documents were brought to the Senate last May 13, amid tension over the supposed possible arrest of Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa.
In the wake of last week’s events, Lacson reminded that arrogance of power and impunity have their limits.
“Arrogance of power, like impunity, has its limits,” Lacson said.
