Actress Andrea Del Rosario remains unbothered despite receiving criticism after reposting a photo of herself with Senator Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa.

Shared on her Instagram account on May 16, the photo — which also featured Andrea’s husband, businessman Anthony Garcia — quickly caught the attention of netizens.

Some netizens insisted that the couple should be targeted by authorities as “persons of interest,” noting that the senator, who reportedly has an outstanding warrant of arrest issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC), has yet to be located.

Andrea quickly clarified that the photo was taken three years ago.

“Guys, the photo with Bato???? That’s an old photo.... Maybe 3 years ago! It was a memory that showed up, and I reposted it.... just riding the issue for the memes! Lol, didn’t know that it would blow up! lol,” Andrea wrote in the comment section.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Pep.ph, Andrea explained that the photo “can mean a million things” and that she has the right to post whatever she wants on her social media account.

“You can make of it whatever you want! We all have freedom of speech and freedom to post,” Andrea reiterated.

The actress also posted this on Facebook: “Person of Interest agad? Lesson: Pag 3 years old na ang post, dapat wag nang i-repost.”

Note that the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) is on the lookout for the senator, whom they consider a “fugitive,” after he reportedly left the Senate premises early Thursday morning, May 14, hours after a shooting incident sparked chaos and prompted a lockdown in the area.
