Senator Imee Marcos, on Monday, May 18, seemingly threw shade at the alleged failure of the rumored coup attempt against Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano.

Rumors of a coup plot against Cayetano's leadership grew over the weekend following the shooting incident that occurred within the Senate premises, as well as the surprise return and eventual departure of Senator Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa.
Before entering the plenary session, Marcos posted a video noting how tense the atmosphere was inside.
"Ewan ko ba't ang susungit (I don't know why they're so irritable)," she said.
She later recalled what she used to tell her sons when it came to winning or losing. Marcos stated that they should still be gentlemen regardless of the outcome.
"Huwag kang magsusungit. Hay nako, sore loser. Pambihira (Don't be so cranky. Seriously, such a sore loser. Unreal)," she added.
During the plenary session. Marcos approached reporters and explained why she kept on using her nasal inhaler.
She said that she's allergic to sensitive people.
"Allergic ako sa pikon. Ayoko malasap ang hangin ng asar-talo (I’m allergic to sensitive people. I can't stand that sore loser energy)," Marcos said, without specifically referring to any senator.
In a new video posted on her Facebook page on Tuesday, May 19, Marcos said that the coup was only a rumor. She said that there was an "operation" to get people from the majority bloc, which did not happen, stating that there were a lot who were calling and threatening them.
According to her, because of this, a Department of Justice (DOJ) resolution recommending the filing of plunder and graft charges against Senator Jinggoy Estrada before the Office of the Ombudsman appeared.
"Inaasahan namin sunod-sunod yung mga kaso...Pag hindi nadaan sa incentive package, dinadaan naman sa pananakot (We're expecting that a string of cases will follow...If they can't convince through an incentive package, they will use threats)," she added.
