The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested two suspected drug pushers and confiscated over P169,000 worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Vasra, Quezon City on Monday afternoon, May 18.
Members of the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) launched the operation at around 4:10 p.m. at the corner of Visayas Avenue and Forestry Street after receiving information from a concerned citizen about the suspects’ alleged illegal drug activities.
Police identified the suspects only by their aliases “Harvey,” 30, and “Raymond,” 36, both residents of Barangay Vasra.
An undercover officer was able to purchase P31,500 worth of suspected shabu from the suspects, prompting operatives to immediately move in and arrest them.
Recovered from the suspects were additional sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P169,524.
Records showed that alias “Harvey” had a prior drug-related case under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The suspects will face charges before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office for violation of Republic Act 9165.
