Mayor Isko to city hall employees: Avoid political noise
Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso assured Manila residents that the city government remains focused on delivering public service and will not be distracted by political conflicts.
Speaking during the regular flag-raising ceremony led by the Manila Urban Settlements Office (MUSO), Domagoso emphasized the importance of maintaining peace, order, and efficient governance while continuing to fulfill the city government’s commitments to Manileños.
“We will continue to pursue and fulfill our commitment to the people on top of our obligation to the people,” the mayor said.
Domagoso also urged city hall employees to avoid the “noise” of politics and remain focused on their responsibilities as public servants.
“Stay away from noise. Huwag ninyong gawing toxic ang buhay ninyo. Lumayo kayo sa mga bagay na hindi ninyo kayang kontrolin. Ang ingay ng pulitika, ang makikinabang lang diyan ay mga pulitiko (Don’t make your lives toxic. Distance yourselves from things you cannot control. The noise of politics only benefits politicians) but all of us here in the government is expected to deliver services,” he added.
The mayor stressed that government workers are expected to prioritize service delivery over political issues, assuring the public that Manila City Hall remains committed to addressing the needs of residents.
