The Southern Police District (SPD) intensified its war on illegal drugs with a weeklong crackdown from May 11 to 17, seizing over ₱1.6 million worth of narcotics and arresting 102 suspects in southern Metro Manila.
SPD director Brig. Gen. Glenn Oliver Cinco said a total of 80 anti-illegal drug operations were conducted by police stations across southern Metro Manila, leading to the arrest of 102 suspected drug pushers.
Cinco said the sustained operations resulted in the seizure of 237.73 grams of shabu, 15.77 grams of marijuana, and 8.2 grams of kush, with a combined estimated value of of P1,629,936.40.
Among the police stations under the district, the Taguig City Police recorded the highest number of operations, with 36 and 41 arrested individuals, followed by the Pasay City Police with 16 operations and 21 arrested individuals.
Cinco commended the operating units for their dedication and relentless efforts in conducting intelligence-driven operations against individuals involved in illegal drug activities.
