Jollibee Foods Corp., has been named as one of the disruptors in TIME’s 100 Most Influential Companies of 2026 list, an annual ranking that places the firm among the top global companies recognized for their extraordinary impact.
The Jollibee Group has also been listed among the Top 10 Food & Drink companies in the inaugural TIME100 Companies: Industry Leaders. TIME described Jollibee as a “fried-chicken phenom,” citing its strong market leadership in its home market and growing presence across global markets.
“For decades, Filipino fast-food chain Jollibee has been a leader in its home market, outselling McDonald’s and KFC. But the plucky fried-chicken joint, whose mascot is a grinning, bowtie-clad bee, is itself a global giant,” the magazine said.
It noted that the Jollibee Group controls 19 restaurants, including Smashburger, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Burger King Philippines, and Chowking.
“In February 2026, the consultancy Brand Finance ranked Jollibee the 18th most valuable restaurant brand globally, but president and CEO Ernesto Tanmantiong says he aims to turn it into a top-five player. Jollibee’s global expansion may help close the gap,” Time said.
TIME’s recognition comes as the Group continues to accelerate its international growth while sustaining its market leadership in the Philippines.
In 2025, the company launched its first franchising program in the U.S. and currently operates more than 100 locations across North America and Tanmantiong said the brand aims to open 350 stores across the continent in coming years, and plans to add more than 1,200 stores globally in 2026 alone.
To assemble these two lists, TIME solicited nominations across sectors and evaluated companies based on impact, innovation, ambition, and success.
“We are honored to be named to TIME’s Top 100 Most Influential Companies list. Being included among companies making an extraordinary impact around the world is a meaningful recognition of the passion and dedication of our teams who bring our purpose of spreading joy through superior taste to life every day,” said Jollibee Group Global President and CEO Ernesto Tanmantiong.
He added that, “We are equally proud to be recognized as among the Top 10 Food and Drinks Companies in the world, which reflects the growing global relevance of our brands and the strength of our business across markets.”
“As we continue to grow in the Philippines and internationally, we remain focused on building strong brands, serving our customers with excellence, and creating long-term value for our stakeholders,” Tanmantiong noted.
