Cop yields P13.6-M shabu in Zamboanga City drug sting

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Authorities confiscated suspected shabu valued at P13.6 million from a police officer of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) during a buy-bust operation here on Saturday, May 16.
The suspect was identified as Police Staff Sgt. Nager Indal Abdulbasir, 45, assigned to Tipo Tipo, Basilan.
Abdulbasir was apprehended after selling the contraband to a poseur-buyer.
Also recovered from the suspect were a Glock 17 firearm, magazines with ammunition, police identification card, and boodle money.
The suspect is facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. He also faces administrative cases in connection with his position.
