Kim Chiu hits back at bashers over comments on PH issues: 'May karapatan akong magsalita'

Actress Kim Chiu was quick to fire back at bashers who criticized her for speaking out on issues concerning the country recently.
In a post on X, the actress admitted feeling saddened by the reactions she received after voicing her opinions on social issues.
“Nakakalungkot. That’s what happens when concern and opinion don’t align with them—gusto agad patahimikin,” Kim wrote.
She added that while she has become used to criticism, she also has every right to express her views.
“Oo, Bisaya ko, pero Pilipino rin akong may karapatang magsalita at magpahayag ng saloobin,” she said.
Kim also expressed frustration over paying taxes while seeing controversies and conflict in the government.
“Masakit magbayad ng buwis tapos ganito ang nakikita natin. Hindi po tayo ang magkakalaban. Pare-pareho lang tayong mamamayan,” she added.
The actress then appealed to the public to stop fighting with each other online.
“Wala tayong kapangyarihang tulad nila, kaya sana dili mu mangaway oi. Murag mga bata naman ning uban ba. Kung unsa imong ganahan edi okay. Ako mao man ni ako ganahan. Pasagdii,” she said.
Kim earlier spoke about the shooting incident at the Senate and also commented on the supposed surrender of a person linked to Sen. Ronald dela Rosa.
