The delivery, which arrived at Quezon City Hall, is the second of four scheduled shipments under the local government’s Project Unified Buying and Bayanihan Operations for the month.
Under the program, the produce will be distributed to tricycle operators and drivers associations (TODA) and other beneficiaries of the Social Services Development Department (SSDD), including families affected by fire incidents, children in feeding programs, and mothers of children under the QC Kabahagi Center for Children with Disabilities.
The initiative aims to help farmers in Benguet secure a stable market for their harvest while ensuring that the city's priority sectors continue to have access to fresh and affordable vegetables.
The latest delivery included potatoes, chayote, and cabbage sourced from Atok farmers.
