To alleviate this, Makati Medical Center (Makati Med) has unveiled its Wellness Hub to make customized executive health checkups a convenient, efficient, and comfortable experience.

Located on the seventh floor of Ayala North Exchange’s Tower 1, the new Wellness Hub is only a short walk away from the hospital. It acts as a full-service outpatient facility, but the twist is that it’s designed to feel more like a spa or boutique hotel. For every patient, an executive liaison officer is assigned to ensure a stress-free visit. It’s sure to make you feel less paranoid about your next check-up. “We’re a one-stop shop at a higher level,” shares Makati Med’s Creative, Communication, and Sales Department senior vice president and division head Arlyn Songco. “For people who don’t like going to hospitals because they’re not sick, this addresses their need to get a wellness check.”

Makati Med WellnessHub head Dr. Ryan Raymond Bautista shares how the facility is also home to top-notch medical equipment. “Among these are its Siemens Mammomat and GE Senographe Pristina, two advanced screening devices that yield high-quality breast imaging in minutes using low-dose radiation; Siemens Acuson Sequoia Crown, a breast ultrasound machine that offers radiation-free imaging; and the GE LOGIQ S8XDCLEAR, a general ultrasound for the abdomen, kidney, prostate, thyroid, joints, and vascular extremities.”

Available as well are the Fibroscan 360 Expert for liver scans and the GE IDXA Encore v18 SP5 for diagnosing bone mineral density, as well as measuring fat mass, visceral fat, subcutaneous fat, and lean muscle mass. A skin and laser hub is also part of the Wellness Hub for patients’ cosmetic needs. Individualized psychological assessment services and psychological interventions like counseling and therapy are also provided for those with mental health needs.
