BULACAN — Sixteen individuals were arrested in a series of anti-drug operations conducted by the Bulacan Police Provincial Office on Wednesday, May 13, resulting in the confiscation of nearly P1 million worth of suspected shabu.

Lt. Col. Mark Louie M. Sigua, chief of the Santa Maria police, identified two of the suspects as alias “Payo,” 29, of Brgy. Lambakin, Marilao, and alias “Michelle,” 28, of Brgy. Poblacion 1, Marilao. Both are considered High Value Individuals (HVI).
They were arrested after selling suspected shabu to undercover operatives in Brgy. Camangyanan around 3:05 p.m.
Confiscated from the duo were approximately 55 grams of suspected shabu valued at P374,000, three heat-sealed sachets, and P1,000 in marked money.
In a separate operation in Marilao, Lt. Col. Jordan G. Santiago reported the arrest of alias “Yana,” 28, of Brgy. Lambakin.
The suspect was apprehended during an entrapment operation in Northville 4 at around 4:50 p.m. by the town’s Special Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU). Seized from him were 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P340,000 and P1,000 in marked money.
Meanwhile, police chiefs in Meycauayan, Norzagaray, San Miguel, San Jose del Monte, San Ildefonso, Calumpit, and Obando reported 13 additional arrests in separate operations. These yielded 46 sachets of suspected shabu valued at P219,844, along with buy-bust money.
Police said the inventory and marking of evidence were conducted in the presence of required witnesses.
All suspects are now in custody and face appropriate charges.
Col. Jay B. Baybayan, officer-in-charge of the Bulacan PPO, emphasized that the relentless campaign against illegal drugs aims to curb their spread and maintain peace and order in the province.
