Global animated sensation KPop Demon Hunters is heading to the live stage as Netflix and AEG Presents officially announced plans for a worldwide concert tour inspired by the blockbuster film.
“Netflix and AEG have partnered to develop and produce an official global concert tour inspired by KPop Demon Hunters!” Netflix announced.
The companies said details about tour cities, schedules, and ticket sales will be revealed at a later date.
The concert tour announcement comes as “KPop Demon Hunters” continues its record-breaking run on Netflix. The film currently holds the record as the platform’s No. 1 most popular movie of all time, generating 325.1 million views within its first 91 days of release.
The animated hit has also remained strong on the streaming charts, spending 47 weeks on Netflix’s Global Top 10 list of most-watched films.
Its chart-topping soundtrack has likewise fueled the film’s global popularity. “Golden,” one of the movie’s standout original songs, dominated the Billboard Hot 100 chart for seven consecutive weeks.
The song also earned major industry recognition after winning Best Song Written for Visual Media at the Grammy Awards and Best Original Song at the Academy Awards.
Meanwhile, a sequel to “KPop Demon Hunters” is already in production and is targeting a 2029 release.
