- Alyas Totoy has filed complaints against Rhian Ramos, Michelle Dee, and Samantha Panlilio over alleged illegal detention, unlawful arrest, and physical injuries tied to a January incident in Makati.
A former chauffeur of actress Rhian Ramos has initiated legal proceedings against the star along with beauty queens Michelle Dee and Samantha Panlilio over accusations involving alleged abuse and unlawful confinement.
The complainant, identified publicly only as “Totoy,” submitted charges on Wednesday, May 13, before the Makati Prosecutor’s Office. The complaints reportedly include slight illegal detention, unlawful arrest, and physical injury allegations against the three personalities.
The case stems from an incident in January, during which Totoy claimed he was allegedly held inside a condominium unit owned by Dee for several days. He also alleged that he experienced mistreatment after being accused of taking an angpao said to contain private photographs.
According to Boy Evangelista, president of the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption, authorities gathered sufficient evidence to support the filing of the complaints.
Evangelista stated in a media interview that investigators from the National Bureau of Investigation conducted an extensive probe, which they believe strengthened the case and increased the likelihood of prosecution.
Ramos, Dee, and Panlilio have not yet released official statements regarding the newly filed complaints.
Earlier, Dee’s legal representative, Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque, denied the accusations and argued that the timeline presented by the former driver was inconsistent with Dee’s whereabouts. The lawyer noted that the beauty queen was reportedly in Iloilo during part of the period when the alleged detention supposedly occurred.
Abraham-Garduque also questioned the credibility of the accusations, citing medical findings that allegedly did not match the complainant’s narration of events.
Meanwhile, Dee previously filed a qualified theft complaint against Totoy over the alleged disappearance of an angpao said to contain several valuable items. Reports indicated that most of the missing belongings had already been recovered.
