Cirium ranks Cebu Pacific as Philippines' top carrier for April 2026

Budget carrier Cebu Pacific emerged as the most punctual airline in the country for April 2026.
The Gokongwei-led carrier said in a statement on Thursday, May 14, that it recorded an 84.98 percent on-time arrival rate across more than 12,000 systemwide flights, citing data from London-based aviation analytics firm Cirium.
The performance secured the airline the top spot among Philippine carriers and ranked it fifth in the Asia-Pacific region for the month, Cebu Pacific said.
Cirium, whose on-time performance (OTP) metrics are considered a global industry standard, defines a flight as on time if the aircraft arrives at the gate within 15 minutes of its scheduled time.
Javier Massot, Cebu Pacific chief operations officer, attributed the ranking to a disciplined internal culture and improved coordination across the airline’s network.
He noted that the company remains focused on operational excellence to ensure a reliable experience for its passenger base, which spans a network of 35 domestic and 26 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
“This recognition reflects the discipline and teamwork of our people across the network, who work tirelessly every day to keep our operations running efficiently,” Massot said. “At Cebu Pacific, we remain focused on delivering operational excellence so our passengers can enjoy a smooth and reliable travel experience every time they fly with us,” he added.
The airline’s recent performance coincides with an aggressive modernization of its ground operations and workforce training. Cebu Pacific recently inaugurated its Training Academy, a state-of-the-art facility designed to streamline the onboarding of aviation professionals and maintain service consistency. This facility is part of a broader strategy to ensure operational readiness as the carrier prepares for further fleet expansion in the latter half of the decade.
Additionally, the company has completed an overhaul of its command-and-control infrastructure. The former Network Control Center has been rebranded as the Cebu Pacific Operations Control Center, featuring upgraded digital systems intended to enhance crisis management and disruption preparedness.
This shift to a digital-first management style allows the carrier to proactively adjust schedules in response to weather or technical issues, a critical factor in maintaining high OTP scores.
