Delivery rider nabbed for stealing woman's bag at Rizal Park
A 28-year-old delivery rider was arrested after he allegedly stole a woman’s shoulder bag while she was on a date inside the Japanese Garden at Rizal Park in Ermita, Manila.
The suspect, identified as Angelo Nudalo of Ermita, Manila, is allegedly a member of the Sputnik Gang and works as a delivery rider, according to authorities.

A report from the Manila Police District Tourist Police Unit (TPU) said victim Alyssa Jasmin Mabago, 31, was with her partner at around 2:10 p.m., on Saturday afternoon, May 10, when a witness informed them that a man had taken her handbag and walked away.
The couple sought help from park security personnel and TPU officers who responded and interviewed both the complainant and the witness.
Authorities then tracked the victim’s missing Galaxy Buds, which had been left inside the stolen bag, leading officers to the second floor of Paco Mall at Angel Linao and Pedro Gil streets in Paco, Manila.
Police said the witness positively identified Nudalo as the alleged suspect.
However, upon noticing approaching officers, the suspect allegedly attempted to flee, triggering a brief chase that ended in his arrest.
Recovered from the suspect were the victim’s peach-colored shoulder bag worth around P3,500, a pouch, cosmetics, a wallet, identification cards, P65 in cash, and earbuds valued at around P9,000.
The suspect was transferred to the MPD Ermita Police Station for proper investigation.
He was inquested for a theft complaint before the Manila City Prosecutor’s Office.
