All Iloilo solons vote to impeach VP Sara anew

ILOILO CITY – Congressmen from the province and city of Iloilo all voted to impeach Vice President Sara Duterte for the second straight year on Monday, May 11.

They were Reps. Janette Loreto-Garin of the Iloilo first district, Kathryn "Kathy" Fermin-Gorriceta of the Iloilo second district, Lorenz “Noy” Defensor of the Iloilo third district, Ferjenel “Ferj” Biron of the Iloilo fourth dstrict, Binky Montesclaros-Tupas of the Iloilo fifth district, and Julienne “Jamjam” Baronda of the lone district of Iloilo City.

Rep. James “Jojo” Ang Jr. of Uswag Ilonggo party-list also voted to impeach Duterte.

Defensor has been vocal in the impeachment proceedings. One of the impeachment prosecutors in the 19th Congress, Defensor said the Senate must convene the impeachment court once it receives the articles of impeachment.

All Ilonggo lawmakers also voted to impeach Vice President Duterte last year.
