Taguig rolls out free school kits ahead of classes

Taguig City has begun distributing free school packages to thousands of public school learners from Kinder to Grade 12, ensuring they are equipped ahead of the June 8 class opening. 

Mayor Lani Cayetano spearheaded the rollout on May 11 at Ususan Elementary School, South Cembo Elementary School, and Maria Asuncion Rodriguez Tinga High School, where students received bags, notebooks, shoes, bond papers, and pencils. 

The city government has implemented a new system to streamline the distribution of the school packages. 

“On-site assistance teams will also be available at each venue to promptly address concerns and provide support as needed. Parents and students are encouraged to follow the schedules issued by their respective schools to help ensure a smooth and orderly distribution for everyone,” the city government announced. 

The distribution will be held until June 6, ahead of the opening of classes in public school on June 8.
