SMC Asia Car Distributors Corp., the official importer and distributor of BMW in the Philippines, has been named the Official Premium Mobility Partner for the ASEAN 2026 Summit.
The Philippines will host the regional gathering in 2026. BMW will support the event with 125 vehicles assigned to Heads of State, visiting diplomats, and other summit transport requirements.
The fleet includes 25 units of the BMW 760i Protection for Heads of State. The high-security sedans are designed for ballistic and blast protection while retaining the comfort and equipment expected from BMW’s flagship sedan line.
Diplomatic transport duties will be handled by 70 units of the BMW X3 30e xDrive. The plug-in hybrid Sports Activity Vehicles will be used for the summit’s official transport schedule, with electrified driving capability and SUV practicality for delegation movement.
BMW also supplied 30 units of the BMW i5 eDrive40 in January 2026. These fully electric executive sedans will continue to support summit mobility requirements as part of the event’s zero-tailpipe-emission vehicle fleet.
BMW Philippines will provide technical support throughout the summit. The company’s technical teams will be available around the clock to help keep the fleet operational during official activities.
The ASEAN 2026 Summit fleet places BMW’s protection vehicle technology, plug-in hybrid models, and fully electric sedans in official diplomatic service as the Philippines prepares to host regional leaders and delegations.
