Babymonster to bring 'Choom' world tour to Manila in September
Babymonster, the rising K-pop girl group under YG Entertainment, is set to embark on its second world tour titled “Choom.”
On May 11, YG Entertainment unveiled the Asia and Oceania dates of the tour following the earlier announcement of the Seoul and Japan legs.
Babymonster will officially kick off the “Choom” world tour with a three-night concert at Jamsil Indoor Stadium from June 26 to 28 before heading to Japan for a series of performances.
In the Philippines, the group will stage the Manila leg of the tour on Sept. 5 at SM Mall of Asia Arena.
The Asia and Oceania legs will cover 11 cities, including Manila, Macau, Jakarta, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Singapore, Hong Kong, Auckland, Melbourne, and Sydney.
Combined with the previously announced stops in Seoul and six cities in Japan — Kobe, Fukuoka, Yokohama, Chiba, Nagoya, and Osaka — the tour’s confirmed schedule now spans 18 cities and 27 shows.
“As this is a large-scale tour spanning five continents, both the artists and staff are pouring their hearts and souls into delivering high-quality performances. We ask for your continued interest in the schedules for the three continents of Europe, North America, and South America, which will be announced later,” YG Entertainment said, according to Korean media reports.
The tour comes shortly after Babymonster’s comeback on May 4 with their third mini-album, "Choom."
Babymonster debuted in 2024 and consists of members Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Rami, Rora, and Chiquita. The group has gained global attention for hits such as Sheesh and Batter Up.
