Authorities arrested two wanted persons facing illegal drugs charges in separate operations conducted on May 9 and 10 as part of the intensified anti-criminality campaign of the Pasay City Police.
Co. Joselito De Sesto, Pasay City Police chief, identified the suspects only by their aliases “Ping,” 47, a construction worker, and “Oy,” 36, both residents of Tramo Street, Barangay 46, Pasay City.
De Sesto said Ping was arrested at around 8 p.m. on May 9 along P. Bukaneg Street in the CCP Complex, Pasay City, through the service of a warrant of arrest for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
The warrant for Ping’s arrest was issued by Albert T. Cansino on July 4, 2022, with no bail recommended.
Meanwhile, Oy, who is also facing charges for illegal possession of drugs, was arrested at around 9 a.m. on May 10 in Barangay 70, Pasay City.
The warrant of arrest against Oy was issued by Marjuri Almojera Madrid-Songgadan, likewise with no bail recommended.
De Sesto said the arrests were part of the police’s continuing campaign against illegal drugs and ongoing efforts to track down wanted persons in the city.
