The spirit of bayanihan continues to shine in Parañaque as 200 reusable water containers were donated to families displaced by the recent fire in Lower Barangay, Barangay San Antonio.
Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez warmly received the donation from Dennis Ligon of Tropang Roligon to help residents currently staying at the evacuation area.
The donation of reusable water containers was made through the efforts of City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) head Bernie Amurao.
The reusable water containers will be distributed and placed inside the evacuation center to assist evacuees with their daily water needs while they temporarily remain in temporary shelters following the devastating blaze.
Olivarez said the donation is a big help to affected families as they continue to recover from the incident and rebuild their lives.
The local government also renewed its call for unity, compassion, and cooperation among residents and private groups to help accelerate the recovery of families affected by the disaster.
The mayor said that small acts of kindness can bring hope to families facing difficult times.
Olivarez added that more individuals and organizations continue to extend assistance to the fire victims.
