2 men wanted for rape arrested

LUMBAN, Laguna – Police arrested a 46-year-old man wanted for rape in Dapitan City in this town on Saturday, May 9.
The suspect was identified as Mardang.
Police Col. Sandro Jay Tafalla, Laguna police director, said Mardang was arrested on a warrant issued by a court in Dapitan City dated Feb. 2, 2026 with no bail recommended.
The suspect is in the custody of the local police for appropriate documentation and disposition. The court that issued the warrant has been informed of his arrest.
Meanwhile, a 44-year-old man was also arrested for rape in Binan City, this province, on Thursday, May 7.
Tafalla said the suspect Sam, of San Fernando City, Pampanga, was apprehended on a warrant issued by a Binan court dated on April 21, 2026.
He is now in the custody of the Biñan police for proper disposition.
Sam was listed as a most wanted person in the Calabarzon region.
