Woman falls in Bulacan drug bust

CITY OF SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, Bulacan – A 27-year-old woman was arrested after selling Kush during a buy-bust operation conducted by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) on Thursday night, May 7, in Barangay Gaya-Gaya hrere.

Police identified the suspect only by the alias “Jen,” a resident of the same barangay. She was apprehended at around 8:27 p.m. after transacting with a poseur buyer.
Confiscated from her possession were Kush, locally produced marijuana, nine vape units containing suspected liquid marijuana, with a total value of P360,000, along with marked money.
The inventory and marking of evidence were carried out in the presence of witnesses before the suspect was brought to the CSJDM police station.
Charges for violation of Sections 5, 11, and 26, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared.
Col. Jay B. Baybayan, officer-in-charge of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office, stressed that the intensified anti-drug campaign aims to protect communities from the harmful effects of illegal drugs and maintain peace and order across the province.
