Tropical Storm Hagupit enters PAR, now named 'Caloy' — PAGASA

Tropical Storm Hagupit entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Saturday evening, May 9, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
The state weather bureau said it was assigned the local name “Caloy.”
“At 6:00 PM today, Tropical Storm {HAGUPIT} has entered the PAR and was assigned the domestic name CALOY,” the agency said in its 6 p.m. advisory.
Per PAGASA, the Tropical Cyclone Bulletin for the storm will begin at 11 p.m.
The agency urged the public to remain vigilant and continue monitoring official weather updates.
“All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.”
