A man wanted for multiple counts of qualified rape of a minor was arrested by members of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) in a manhunt operation in Rizal on Friday, May 8.
Operatives from QCPD Payatas Bagong Silangan Police Station (PS 13) apprehended alias “Josue,” 43, at around 12:10 a.m. at his residence in Barangay Pinugay, Baras, Rizal.
Police said the suspect is listed as the No. 3 District Level Most Wanted Person and No. 2 Station Level Most Wanted Person of PS 13, making him one of the priority targets of the district’s manhunt operations.
The arrest was made by virtue of a warrant issued by Branch 102 of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) in Quezon City for four counts of qualified rape of a minor.
Records showed that the suspect also has prior cases, including reckless imprudence resulting in damage to property filed in June 2023, as well as violations of Republic Act 7610 and Republic Act 8353 or the Anti-Rape Law of 1997 filed in November 2025.
The suspect is currently detained at the custodial facility of PS 13 pending the return of the warrant to the issuing court.
Police Brig. Gen. Randy Glenn Silvio, QCPD director, said the operation reflects the QCPD’s continued drive to locate and arrest fugitives facing serious criminal charges.
