Caught on cam: Call center agent steals motorcycle in Antipolo
A 25-year-old call center agent was arrested for allegedly stealing a motorcycle in Antipolo City, Rizal on Thursday, May 8.
According to the Antipolo City Component Police Station (Antipolo CCPS), the suspect, known only as “Rey,” was identified through closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage showing him walking toward the victim’s house in Barangay Dela Paz and later riding away on the motorcycle.
Based on the investigation, the victim parked his motorcycle outside his house and accidentally left the key in the ignition at around 3 p.m.
As he was about to return to his shop, he noticed that his motorcycle was already missing. He immediately searched the area and asked his neighbors about its whereabouts.
With the help of a neighbor’s CCTV, Rey was initially seen passing through the area riding a bicycle. Further review showed that he later changed clothes and wore a face mask, walked toward the house, and rode away on the motorcycle toward Siete y Media Highway.
The incident was reported to the Antipolo CCPS, prompting a follow-up operation that resulted in the suspect’s arrest and the recovery of the stolen motorcycle.
The suspect is now in police custody.
