ANGCAO (FB)
BUTUAN CITY – Major Gen. Marion T. Angcao was installed on Saturday as the new commanding general of the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division (ID) in Camp Edilberto Evangelista, Cagayan de Oro City.
Army chief Lt. Gen. Antonio G. Nafarrete presided over the ceremony and donned the ranks of major general to Angcao and Ronel N. Manalo, commander of the Armor (Pambato) Division.
Brig. Gen. Seigfred C. Tubalado temporarily led the 4th ID following the recent retirement of Major Gen. Michele B. Anayron Jr. and formally turned over the unit to Angcao during the ceremony.
Angcao, of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Maalab Class of 1993 and a 30-year veteran, is the 55th commander of the 4th ID.
He was assistant chief of staff for operations (G3) at the Army headquarters in Taguig City and served as brigade commander of the 1003rd Infantry (Raptor) Brigade (IB) under the 10th Infantry “Agila” Division.
Angcao led a campaign that dismantled the Sub-Regional Sentro de Grabidad (SRSDG) Peddler under the North Central Mindanao Regional Committee (NCMRC) and several guerrilla fronts.
