Passenger injured in EDSA car crash after tire burst

A passenger was injured when a Toyota Vios crashed along EDSA in Quezon City after one of its tires burst early Thursday morning, May 7.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said the incident occurred at around 3:30 a.m. along the southbound lane of EDSA in Barangay San Martin de Porres.
Initial investigation showed the vehicle was traveling from Aurora Boulevard toward P. Tuazon Boulevard when its rear right tire allegedly blew out.
As the driver lost control of the vehicle, it swerved to the right side of the road and crashed into a concrete post.
The vehicle sustained damage, while a 38-year-old female passenger suffered injuries and was rushed to Providence Medical Center for medical treatment.
QCPD reminded motorists to ensure regular vehicle maintenance and exercise caution while driving to help prevent road accidents and ensure public safety.
