- The cast of 'The Secrets of Hotel 88' teased darker twists, shocking revelations, and possible character exits as the hit GMA-ABS-CBN collaboration enters its explosive midseason.
The mystery deepens and the danger grows inside "The Secrets of Hotel 88" as the hit collaboration project of GMA Network and ABS-CBN officially enters its explosive midseason chapter.
During the show’s recent media conference, cast members promised viewers that the coming episodes would deliver bigger revelations, darker twists, and emotionally charged confrontations that could change the fate of every character trapped inside Hotel 88.
The event also marked the release of the show’s new poster and intense midseason trailer, which gave audiences a glimpse of shocking scenes, rising tensions, and what appears to be a deadly mystery unfolding within the hotel walls.
Among those present at the mediacon were former "Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition" housemates Brent Manalo, AZ Martinez, Ralph de Leon, River Joseph, Klarisse de Guzman, Esnyr, Josh Ford, Kira Balinger, Dustin Yu, Bianca de Vera, and Will Ashley.
For Bianca, the trailer alone was enough to stir emotions.
“Nakakaiyak. Nakaka-excite panoorin. Gusto ko na siya i-watch, grabe. At saka dito ko rin nakita ‘yung panibagong chapter because I think we came from the romance, ‘yung lovey-dovey part, and then dito na talaga makikita ‘yung mystery. It’s very, very exciting,” she shared.
Meanwhile, Esnyr admitted he was stunned after watching the trailer for the first time.
“Jaw-dropping. Sobrang nagulat ako. Kasi isa ito sa pinakagusto ko na ma-release na. Ngayong nakikita na namin siya, kinakabahan ako sa eksena na ’yon. Pero nakaka-proud na umabot kami sa ganitong level. Kinakabahan pero at the same time ay nakikita ko na ’yung iba’t ibang side ng mga character namin,” he said.
One of the biggest revelations during the press conference came from Brent, who hinted that viewers should prepare for possible “evictions” inside the series, a playful but ominous nod to their "Pinoy Big Brother" roots.
“Yes. So parang reminiscent ng 'PBB' itong gagawin namin, may mga eviction na mangyayari. ‘Yun ang kailangang abangan, kung ilan ang matatanggal, kung matatanggal ba lahat, o may big winner ba,” Brent teased.
The trailer itself hinted at a looming threat, showing glimpses of a mysterious killer targeting victims inside the hotel. This fueled speculation among fans that the cast’s “madugong eviction” hints may point to major character deaths in the episodes ahead.
Produced by Star Creatives, the mystery-family drama is directed by Henry Quitain and also stars Mika Salamanca and Xyriel Manabat.
It airs weeknights at 9:35 p.m. on GMA Prime, Kapamilya Online Live, and Kapuso Stream, with delayed telecast on GTV at 11:25 p.m.
Episodes are also available seven days in advance on iWant.
