Several major roads in the city will be temporarily closed early Friday, May 9, to accommodate a marathon event, the Manila Police District announced.
Traffic adjustments will start at 2 a.m. and will affect key routes around Roxas Boulevard, Quirino Avenue, P. Burgos Avenue, and Finance Road.
Road closures:
- Southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard from Katigbak Drive to P. Ocampo
- Westbound lane of Quirino Avenue from Adriatico Street to Roxas Boulevard
- P. Burgos Avenue southbound corner Victoria Street
- Westbound lane of Finance Road from P. Burgos to Taft Avenue
Motorists advised to take alternate routes:
- Trucks from Delpan area bound for Roxas Boulevard southbound should turn left to P. Burgos Avenue, proceed to Finance Road, then continue to destination.
- Vehicles from P. Burgos Avenue should turn right to Bonifacio Drive
- Vehicles from Jones, MacArthur, and Quezon bridges may take Roundtable going to Ma. Orosa Street or proceed to Taft Avenue
- Vehicles from Kalaw Avenue should turn left to M.H. del Pilar Street
- Vehicles from U.N. Avenue should use Roxas Boulevard Service Road
- Vehicles from Quirino Avenue should turn left to Adriatico Street
- Vehicles from Ayala Boulevard should turn right to Taft Avenue, then A. Villegas Street
Motorists are advised to plan and expect heavy traffic in affected areas during the event
