Enrique Chua's milestone birthday draws family, friends, and star performers
Grand Hyatt’s main ballroom was awash with Chinese lanterns and a red motif as popular and well-loved businessman Enrique Chua celebrated his 80th birthday. His family prepared for the festivity with all guns blazing, leaving no stone unturned in making it a memorable affair. From the Chinese cuisine to the top-notch entertainment, as well as the various raffles and door prizes, there was much to remember and enjoy until the very end of the night.

At one point, the officers of the Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry trooped to the stage to honor and greet their fellow member. Host Issa Litton kept guests on the edge of their seats as she introduced, in no particular order, the likes of Vice Ganda, Martin Nievera, Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin, Richard Yap, Isay Alvarez and Robert Sena, and Sarah Lahbati for the production numbers that punctuated the evening.
A stirring video of Enrique walking the streets of Manila and Bacolod while recounting his early life offered a moving perspective on the remarkable life he has led and the many people he has touched and helped. Here’s to many more fruitful years and relaxing rounds of golf!
