20 hurt in jeepney-SUV collision in Isabela

REINA MERCEDES, Isabela – Twenty persons were injured in a collision between a jeepney and Sports Utility Vehicle  in Barangay Tallungan here on Thursday afternoon, May 7.

Investigation said the SUV swerved into the opposite lane and hit the jeepney.

Due to the impact, the jeepney driver lost control of the vehicle which overturned and skidded on the road.

The jeepney was bound for Ilagan City with 20 passengers, mostly nursing students. The SUV was traveling towards Cauayan City.

The jeepney driver and his passengers were taken to the hospital.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation and advised motorists to exercise caution while traveling to prevent accidents.
