- The petition for bail stems from Revilla's malversation case involving the alleged ₱92.8-million "ghost" flood control project in Pandi, Bulacan.

The camp of former senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. is still awaiting the resolution of the Sandiganbayan Third Division on his petition for bail in connection with his malversation case over the alleged “ghost” flood control project in Pandi, Bulacan.
The court is expected to release its ruling on the bail petition on Wednesday, May 6.
Revilla’s legal counsel Reody Anthony Balisi said there has been no advice from the court when it will be released.
“We just have to wait. We don’t know if it will come out today or tomorrow,” Balisi told reporters.
“We hope for the best. We just pray, and we just wait,” he added.

“It’s the court’s discretion so we cannot question that, so again, hintay lang (just wait),” Balisi said.
The former senator’s counsel also said the testimony of SYMS Construction owner Sally Santos during the Sandiganbayan Fourth Division trial of Revilla’s graft case earlier in the day was consistent with the defense position that there is no link between the former senator and the allegations.
“We’ll take it as it is. As far as we’re concerned, we have been very consistent doon sa position namin na wala naman talagang link si Senator Bong and si Ms. Santos. As she had testified during the bail hearing, consistent naman yung testimony as regards to that (As far as we’re concerned, we have been very consistent in our position that there is really no link between Senator Bong and Ms. Santos. As she had testified during the bail hearing, the testimony is consistent as regards to that),” Balisi said.
Revilla posted ₱90,000 bail in January for a graft charge related to the same case.
However, he remains detained at the Quezon City Jail while awaiting the decision on his bail petition for the malversation case.
