The incident occurred at around 3:16 a.m. when an unidentified driver allegedly refueled and sped off without paying.
According to the QCPD, the station attendant immediately reported the "gas-and-run" car, prompting a flash alarm and an investigation.
Through CCTV backtracking and coordination with nearby establishments and barangays, Bahay Toro and Bagong Pag-asa, police identified the vehicle as a grayish blue Toyota Vios (2023 model) with plate number CBK 7953.
Further verification showed the vehicle was purchased from Toyota Nueva Ecija and registered under Toyota Financial Services Philippines Corporation (TFSPH), and is reportedly leased to an individual identified as alias “Jherosalyn.”
Police said the case remains under investigation as authorities continue to trace the driver’s identity.
The QCPD is urging the person involved to voluntarily coordinate with authorities to clarify the incident and avoid further legal consequences.
“Through extensive CCTV backtracking and coordination with nearby establishments and barangays… the involved vehicle was identified,” the QCPD said.
The police also appealed to the public for any information on the suspects, urging witnesses to report to the nearest police station or contact E911 or QC Helpline 122.
