Iloilo Business Park has spent the last few years building the case that a township can be more than just offices and condominiums. With three museums, a convention center, and a growing dining and retail scene, it has steadily positioned itself as Iloilo City's center of arts, culture, and commerce. The latest addition to that picture is Belmont Hotel Iloilo, Megaworld Corporation's third hotel within the 72-hectare development and its most design-forward yet, drawing from Miami Art Deco aesthetics while staying rooted in local Ilonggo character.
The 12-story property sits along Festive Walk Parade beside Saint Dominique, a short walk from the Iloilo Convention Center and Festive Walk Iloilo. Its interiors blend Mid-Century modern aesthetics with vintage and retro elements. Its 405 rooms come in Queen, Twin, Premiere, and One-bedroom suite layouts, each featuring curated artworks from local artists depicting Iloilo landmarks with a 1950s-era sensibility. Specially-abled rooms are also available, alongside themed kids rooms connected to a neighboring room, a first-of-its-kind concept in Iloilo for families traveling with children.
On the second floor, a mini-art gallery hosts a rotating showcase of works from local artists, another first for the city. Adjacent to it is a grand ballroom that seats up to 310 guests in a theater setup and can be divided into four smaller function halls. The third floor offers a swimming pool, kiddie pool, fitness center, and private spa rooms with integrated saunas.
Three food and beverage outlets round out the stay. Belmont Café for all-day Ilonggo-inspired dining, Zabana Bar at the lobby lounge, and Float Bar and Grill at the pool area.
With Belmont Hotel Iloilo, Megaworld Corporation's total room keys within Iloilo Business Park reaches 880 across three properties, accounting for nearly 25 percent of the entire city's hotel inventory.
Cleofe Albiso, managing director of Megaworld Hotels and Resorts, shares how the opening reflects a longer commitment to the region. "We are excited to offer a truly refreshing experience for everyone at Belmont Hotel Iloilo, and this chapter marks an important milestone in our commitment to help boost tourism in the Visayas. Iloilo continues to be a premier destination for local and international travelers with Iloilo Business Park leading the way. We are proud to continue expanding our hospitality footprint in this township with a new and premier development for guests who want to experience the best of Iloilo's thriving tourism and business scene."
The confidence in that statement is backed by what's already there: three museums including Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Art (ILOMOCA), the first contemporary art museum in Visayas and Mindanao, modern LEED Gold-certified office towers, and Iloilo City's first-ever Wolfgang's Steakhouse, all within the same address.
Megaworld Corporation currently operates 16 hotel properties nationwide with around 7,500 rooms, with six more targeted before 2030—bringing its portfolio to roughly 9,000 room keys across the country. For Iloilo Business Park, Belmont Hotel Iloilo is the latest proof that the township's ambitions have never been small.
