Toppled electric post causes power outage in Pasig barangay

A power interruption affects some areas in Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City, due to a fallen electric post on Tuesday afternoon, May 5.

Motorists were advised to avoid passing through the Sandoval Avenue corner of Centennial 1 in the meantime, as the area remains impassable due to hanging power lines.
The local government said the personnel of the Traffic and Parking Management Office (TPMO) are already onsite and have coordinated the incident with Meralco.
It also said that motorists may take Mulawin Street, Sandoval, and Pinagbuhatan as alternate routes.
As of 4:04 p.m., Meralco personnel were already on-site to carry out repairs, but the local government said it cannot provide an estimated time of completion, as this depends on Meralco’s assessment.
“Kami po ay humihingi ng paumanhin sa abalang dulot nito at patuloy na makikipag-ugnayan para sa agarang pag-aayos at karagdagang abiso. Maraming salamat po sa inyong pang-unawa (We apologize for the inconvenience and will continue to coordinate for the immediate repair and further advisories. Thank you for your understanding),” Barangay Pinagbuhatan said.
