The Southern Police District (SPD) apprehended 343 ordinance violators in a series of operations on May 4, conducted under Oplan Galugad and Oplan Bulabog as part of the ongoing Safer Metro Manila campaign.
A total of 56 operations were carried out, mobilizing 287 police personnel and 373 force multipliers to enforce community discipline across the district.
Taguig registered the highest number of violators with 103 individuals apprehended.
The campaign also recorded 98 minors violating curfew hours and 95 individuals caught smoking in public places.
Other violations included 78 cases of drinking in public, 22 instances of roaming the streets half-naked, and several cases involving the use of karaoke beyond allowed hours and the unauthorized wearing of balaclavas or headgears.
Of the total 343 violators, 317 were issued warnings and released, while 26 were fined for their infractions.
Brig. Gen. Glenn Oliver Cinco, SPD district director, said the continuous implementation of Oplan Bulabog and Oplan Galuugad is part of the district’s commitment to enforce the law and ensure safer communities in Metro Manila.
