The Philippine Red Cross (PRC)–Cavite Chapter will upgrade its facility with a P6-million grant from DigiPlus Foundation to improve emergency response and health services in the province.
The partnership was formalized through a signing ceremony between DigiPlus Foundation, the social responsibility arm of DigiPlus Interactive Corp., and the PRC Cavite Chapter.
The project marks the first major infrastructure-focused collaboration between the two groups, following earlier partnerships centered on blood donation drives.
Under DigiPlus Foundation’s KalusuganPLUS program, the initiative aims to strengthen emergency response capabilities, expand blood service operations, and improve community resilience in Cavite and nearby areas.
The upgraded facility will include a modern disaster operations center, an expanded blood center, multipurpose training rooms, and community meeting spaces.
These improvements are expected to enhance the Red Cross’ capacity to deliver timely assistance, mobilize resources more efficiently, and provide life-saving services during emergencies.
DigiPlus Foundation said the initiative is part of its KalusuganPLUS program, which focuses on strengthening healthcare access and community resilience.
DigiPlus Foundation Executive Director Angela Camins-Wieneke said the project is aimed at building long-term solutions that improve access to essential services and strengthen communities.
“At DigiPlus Foundation, we believe that meaningful impact comes from building solutions that last. Through this commitment, we are investing in stronger emergency response, better access to essential services, and more resilient communities as we continue to multiply the good,” she said.
PRC Cavite Chapter Chairman of the Board of Trustees Gilbert Cesar Remulla said the upgraded facility will allow the organization to serve more communities and improve its operations during disasters and health emergencies.
“This support from DigiPlus Foundation is a meaningful contribution to our mission of providing timely and effective humanitarian assistance. With improved facilities, we will be better equipped to respond to emergencies, expand our blood services, and serve more communities across Cavite. Partnerships like this are essential in helping us save more lives and strengthen our reach,” he said.
Both organizations said they are committed to ensuring the proper implementation of the project, guided by transparency and accountability, as part of efforts to deliver long-term impact and strengthen disaster preparedness in vulnerable areas.
DigiPlus Foundation is the social development arm of DigiPlus Interactive Corp., the company behind BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone. It supports programs in education, healthcare, livelihood, and disaster resilience.
