Angel Galang apologizes to Marina Summers after earlier criticism of MUPH hosting

Angel Galang apologized to fellow drag queen Marina Summers after she showered her with insults on the night of the Miss Universe Philippines 2026 grand coronation.

During the grand coronation last May 2, netizens caught sight of Angel's subtle post about the Miss Universe Philippines 2026 host.

"Binagot mo ang #MUPH. Totoong buhay lang," Angel wrote on her post.

Although some people agreed with Angel, others were not happy with her sentiments, saying that Angel should not be making unsavory comments to a fellow drag performer.

Following this, in her latest Facebook post, Angel apologized for what she said about Marina.

"Unang una sa lahat sorry mga alaga, award sena !! HARD loka!! Pero, sorry, I’m really, really sorry hard especially to my sister, Marina," Angel wrote.

Angel continued: "Na over express ako at I know na MALI TALAGA AKO. I want to take accountability and responsibility dito mga nak."

Instead of getting angry, Angel appreciated and even thanked those who helped her realize the mistake she had made.

"Thank you din sa mga queens na nagsabi sakin na mali ang nagawa ko. Again, masaya ako para sa lahat ng achievements ng mga sisters ko TOTOONG BUHAY LANG !!" Angel wrote.

Meanwhile, actress and showbiz news presenter KaladKaren defended Marina against those critical of her hosting style.

“You can say whatever you want about Marina’s hosting, but the fact that she’s there on stage…A trans woman hosting the biggest beauty pageant in the country speaks volumes. Periodt" KaladKaren wrote on social media.
