Mexican superstar Thalía is still on a high after meeting Filipino girl group BINI and she’s making sure fans feel every bit of that kilig.
Following their encounter at the Billboard Women in Music ceremony, the global icon took to Instagram to share a heartfelt throwback of the experience.
Beyond the fun, what stood out for Thalia was the emotional connection that the meeting represented, noting her connection with the Philippines and Filipinos in general.
“The Philippines is a country that has walked with me through the years, forming part of my history and who I am today. And the love they’ve given 'Marimar' has been just endless,” Thalía shared.
No doubt, Thalía’s affection for the Philippines runs deep.
Apart from "Marimar," her classic telenovelas "Maria la del Barrio," and "Maria Mercedes" became massive hits in the country, shaping generations of Filipino viewers and even inspiring local adaptations.
It was as such that meeting BINI wasn’t just another celebrity encounter for Thalía.
“And suddenly, life meets us here, together with the beautiful @bini_ph celebrating love, music, and that universal language that connects us no matter borders,” she wrote.
