SADANGA, Mountain Province – The Philippine Drug Enforcement-Cordillera uprooted marijuana plants worth P31.3 million in the borders of Sadanga, Mountain Province and Tinglayan, Kalinga, on Friday, May 1.
Discovered were 224,000 plants in four plantation sites approximately 29,500-square meters.
In the first plantation, 80,000 plants growing on an estimated 10,000-square meters of land valued at P16 million were found.
The second spanning 5,000-square meters had 40,000
valued at P8 million. The third, 4,000-square meters, yielded 20,000 worth P4 million.The fourth, 10,500-square meters, had 84,000 valued at P3.3 million.
No cultivator was arrested.
Authorities will intensify their collaboration with the local government units of Kalinga and Mountain Province to track down their cultivators.
