Quezon City boosts MSMEs with TikTok training

Quezon City has stepped up its support for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through a hands-on training program with TikTok Shop aimed at strengthening digital and e-commerce skills.

Around 300 MSME owners and employees joined the Unlad Lokal Roadshow Caravan in Quezon City, organized by the city government in partnership with TikTok Shop and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry–Quezon City (PCCI-QC).

The initiative provided training on e-commerce operations, digital marketing, and live selling to help participants immediately apply digital tools to their businesses.

Participants were also guided on account setup, affiliate marketing, and TikTok Shop features such as the “Yellow Basket” to improve product visibility and boost online sales.

To ensure focused learning, attendees were grouped into product sellers, service providers, and affiliates or content creators, each receiving tailored modules based on their business needs.

Product sellers were trained on platform management and selling strategies, service providers on digital advertising tools, while affiliates and content creators focused on content production and live selling technique.

The program also allowed participants to establish or upgrade their online business presence during the training for immediate application of digital tools.

The program is part of the city’s Entrepreneurial Development Program (EDP), which aims to equip MSMEs with practical skills to compete in the digital economy.

City data showed the EDP has conducted 130 training sessions, benefiting 6,194 participants.
