Spotify brings BTS 'Swimside' immersive experience to Manila

Fans of global K-pop sensation BTS are set to experience an immersive celebration as Spotify brings its interactive “Swimside” experience to Manila, ahead of the group’s much-anticipated comeback album release, "Arirang."
The limited-time activation, Spotify X BTS: Swimside Manila, will run from May 1 to 3 at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City, offering Filipino ARMYs a themed experience designed to bring BTS’ latest music closer to fans in an interactive setting.
Exclusive to Spotify Premium users, the Manila stop is part of a global rollout that has already been staged in major cities including New York, Seoul, Tokyo, and Jakarta. Manila is among only two Southeast Asian cities selected to host the experience.
According to Spotify, Swimside is designed as a curated space where fans can engage with BTS’ new music in a more immersive way, transforming the listening experience into a physical and interactive environment.
“It’s a fair immersive experience that celebrates the most highly anticipated comeback and, in fact, Manila is one of the two Southeast Asian cities that get this experience. So it’s just for you ARMY. It’s where we bring BTS’ latest album. It comes to life all on Spotify and it’s an exclusive Spotify Premium experience and curated specially for fans or ARMY,” a Spotify representative said during the media preview held on April 30.
The experience will offer immersive watch parties, fan missions, special treats, and exclusive Spotify x BTS: Swimside gifts made just for ARMY.
Swimside Manila features different sections. The Dockside welcomes fans and showcases a lighthouse installation.
“ARMYs will be welcomed by a larger-than-life Swimside Lighthouse, which is surrounded by different immersive zones,” said another Spotify representative.
The Wave Room is a “‘Swim’-inspired photo experience where ARMYs can take photos and videos with fellow fans. We will also have photographers inside taking photos, which will be printed so ARMYs can bring them home after their journey.”
In the Deep Dive Stream room, fans can experience BTS’ new music, including the “Swim” music video.
On Spotify, “Swim” has garnered 362.34 million streams.
At the Fan Chant Lighthouse, fans can gather and sing along to BTS songs and perform fan chants.
The Sound Wave Bar offers specialty drinks. To redeem them, fans must complete the BTS Music Quiz and show their score.
The ARMY Swim Club Supplies is the final stop in Swimside Manila. Fans can take home exclusive Spotify x BTS Swimside merchandise by sharing their highlights on social media and using the hashtag #SpotifyBTSSWIMSIDEManila.
