Five suspected drug personalities were arrested and more than P159,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized in separate buy-bust operations conducted by the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on April 30 and May 1, 2026.
Led by PBGEN Randy Glenn Silvio, the QCPD carried out coordinated anti-illegal drug operations in Brgy. Paltok and Brgy. Escopa 3, resulting in the arrest of five suspects.
In the first operation at around 6:45 a.m. on May 1 in front of No. 15 Ilagan Street, Brgy. Paltok, operatives arrested “Catherine,” 43, and “Jhon Mark,” 28, after a poseur-buyer transacted with the latter, triggering a pre-arranged arrest signal.
Authorities recovered 15.72 grams of suspected shabu worth P106,896, along with a cellphone and marked buy-bust money.
Police records showed that both suspects had prior drug-related cases under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
In a separate operation at 11:03 p.m. on April 30 along P. Burgos Street, Brgy. Escopa 3, Project 4, police arrested “Mark,” 19; “Lee,” 18; and “Allan,” 52, following a buy-bust operation.
Authorities confiscated 7.695 grams of suspected shabu worth P52,326, along with a coin purse, cellphone, and marked buy-bust money.
During the same operation, alias “Mark” was found in possession of a Colt .45 caliber pistol with an inserted magazine loaded with three live rounds, resulting in additional charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
All suspects will face charges for violation of R.A. 9165, while separate firearms charges will be filed against alias Mark before the Prosecutor’s Office.
PBGEN Silvio said the QCPD will sustain intensified anti-drug operations against street-level drug networks and urged the public to report suspicious activities through emergency hotlines.
